The Jackson County Chapter of the Salvation Army held its annual Red Kettle Kickoff luncheon at First Lutheran on Thursday, November 8. Area volunteers and clergy met with SA Officers to discuss the 2012 Bell Ringing campaign. The tradition of collecting money from pedestrians began in 1891. Funds collected during the Red Kettle campaign benefit various charitable programs in Jackson County. Sign up & information for volunteers is available in the Gathering Area at the church.
