Each November the Maquoketa Community Cupboard distributes turkeys to Maquoketa families who might otherwise not have the traditional bird for their Thanksgiving holiday. Members at First Lutheran can participate in this tradition by purchasing a turkey for the Cupboard. A collection box is available in the Gathering Area at the church. A gift of $10 will provide a turkey to a family in need. Checks can be made to First Lutheran Church with “turkey” written in the memo line.
