lor: #ffffff;”>Twenty-five women from seven Maquoketa churches gathered for an ecumenical worship and Bible study on November 4. The program was sponsored by Church Women United, Inc. in recognition of World Community Day. Six Maquoketa churches were represented, including First United Methodist, Faith Community, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, St. Mark Episcopal Church, United Church of Christ and First Lutheran. The program theme this year is “Living Our Faith, Unlocking Action.” Offerings were collected on behalf of Church Women United and the Maquoketa Community Cupboard.
